John Francis McCormack, (14 June 1884 – 16 September 1945), was an Irish tenor celebrated for his performances of the operatic and popular song repertoires, and renowned for his diction and breath control. He was also a Papal Count. He became a naturalised American citizen before returning to live in Ireland.
 
Pierino Ronald "Perry" Como ( May 18, 1912 – May 12, 2001) was an Italian-American singer, actor and television personality. During a career spanning more than half a century, he recorded exclusively for RCA Victor for 44 years, after signing with the label in 1943."Mr. C.", as he was nicknamed, sold millions of records and pioneered a weekly musical variety television show. His weekly television shows and seasonal specials were broadcast throughout the world. 

Ava Lavinia Gardner (December 24, 1922 – January 25, 1990) was an American actress and singer. She first signed a contract with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in 1941 and appeared mainly in small roles until she drew critics' attention in 1946 with her performance in Robert Siodmak's Noir film The Killers. During the 1950s, Gardner established herself as a leading lady and one of the era's top stars with films like Show Boat (1951), Pandora and the Flying Dutchman (1951), The Snows of Kilimanjaro (1952), The Barefoot Contessa (1954).

Walter William Bygraves OBE (16 October 1922 – 31 August 2012), best known by the stage name Max Bygraves (adopted in honour of Max Miller), was an English comedian, singer, actor and variety performer. He appeared on his own television shows, sometimes performing comedy sketches between songs. He made twenty Royal Variety Performance appearances and presented numerous programmes, including Family Fortunes.

Adrian Schubert Conductor, composer, cellist and arranger born in Vienna, Austria.He performed as a cellist with the Metropolitan Opera Company and made recordings as a cellist before he was appointed General Musical Director of the Regal Record Company. From 1925 to 1930 he was Musical Director for the Plaza group of labels including Banner, Domino, Regal, etc. In 1930 he became Musical Director for Crown Records. His work as a band director appeared under a large number of pseudonyms. A quick perusal of his discography would result in the conclusion that every record he made came out under another band name.

Eddie Elkins. was born in San Francisco in 1897. He was a violinist and leader of the Jazzy Knickerbocker Grill Orchestra, a popular supper-club orchestra in New York during the Roaring Twenties.  As he grew in his career, Elkins became known for supplying orchestras with sophisticated dance numbers. With his nurturing capability, he had greats like Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, Red Nichols and Oscar Levant within his ranks. His orchestra recorded through the 1920s for the Columbia and Okeh labels. In the 30s, he recorded for the Banner label.

Reginald Herbert Dixon, MBE, ARCM (16 October 1904 – 9 May 1985) was an English theatre organist who was primarily known for his position as organist at the Tower Ballroom, Blackpool, a position he held from March 1930 until March 1970. He made and sold more recordings than any other organist before him, or since. He was in high demand throughout the 1930s, 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s. During his fifty-year career he was one of the top-selling artists, his prolific output ranking alongside that of Victor Silvester and Bing Crosby.

Doris Day (born Doris Mary Anne Kappelhoff; April 3, 1922 – May 13, 2019) was an American actress, singer, and animal welfare activist. She began her career as a big band singer in 1939, achieving commercial success in 1945 with two No. 1 recordings, "Sentimental Journey" and "My Dreams Are Getting Better All the Time" with Les Brown & His Band of Renown. She left Brown to embark on a solo career and recorded more than 650 songs from 1947 to 1967.

Frankie Laine (born Francesco Paolo LoVecchio; March 30, 1913 – February 6, 2007) was an American singer, songwriter, and actor whose career spanned nearly 75 years, from his first concerts in 1930 with a marathon dance company to his final performance of "That's My Desire" in 2005. Often billed as "America's Number One Song Stylist".
Paul Rich (20 August 1921 – 23 February 2000) was a singer and guitarist, recording many songs with Lou Preager's band.  From 1957 he recorded many songs for Woolworth's Embassy Records, until the record label closed in 1965.He later became a music publisher.

David Whitfield (2 February 1925 – 15 January 1980) was a popular British male tenor vocalist from Hull. He became the first British artist to have a UK No.1 single in the UK and in the United States with "Cara Mia", featuring Mantovani and his orchestra. He died from a brain haemorrhage in Sydney, Australia, while on tour at the age of 54.

As a pianist, composer, arranger and band leader, he led an innovative and influential jazz orchestra for almost four decades. Though Kenton had several pop hits from the early 1940s into the 1960s, his music was always forward-looking.

Jack Hylton (born John Greenhalgh Hilton; 2 July 1892 – 29 January 1965) was an English pianist, composer, band leader and impresario.Hylton rose to prominence during the British dance band era, being referred as the "British King of Jazz" and "The Ambassador of British Dance Music" by the musical press.

Ignacy Jan Paderewski (Polish; 18 November 1860 – 29 June 1941) was a Polish pianist and composer who became a spokesman for Polish independence. In 1919, he was the new nation's Prime Minister and foreign minister during which he signed the Treaty of Versailles, which ended World War I.

Debroy Somers (born William Henry Somers, 11 April 1890 in Dublin – 16 May 1952 in London) was a British twentieth-century big band bandleader.His ensemble, the Debroy Somers Band, was also known as the Midnight Minstrels.
