Bob and Alf Pearson were an English musical variety double act, consisting of brothers Robert Alexander Pearson (15 August 1907 – 30 December 1985)and Alfred Vernon Pearson (15 June 1910 – 7 July 2012), who were mainly known for their singing of songs as a duo in close-harmony. Their career together lasted over 50 years, spanning stage, radio, television and gramophone records.
During the 1930s, they became one of the most popular acts in Britain, and had sold over a million records by 1936.

Arthur Willard Pryor (September 22, 1869 – June 18, 1942) was a trombone virtuoso, bandleader, and soloist with the Sousa Band. He was a prolific composer of band music, his best-known composition being "The Whistler and His Dog". In later life, he became a Democratic Party politician from New Jersey.

The Three Ginx were one of the most successful British vocal groups of the 1930s. They began their career as instrumentalists (Ivor Robinson, saxophonist; Jack Joy, pianist; and Eric Handley, drummer.) and met while playing with the New Mayfair Dance Orchestra. Later they joined Sidney Kyte's orchestra, where they were regularly featured as vocalists.They were known for their rhythmic singing style and contributed to many records of the era, often collaborating with other stars like Al Bowlly and Jessie Matthews. They also appeared in films such as "Road House" (1934)

When Geraldo opened at the Savoy Hotel with his Gaucho Tango Orchestra, British dance music changed forever. After World War II, he organised bands for transatlantic P & O liners allowing young British musicians to hear modern jazz on 52nd Street. His ‘strict tempo’ dance classic compilations still thrill.

The Black Diamonds Band was one of the most popular British recording bands from about 1900 to the early 1930's. At least 270 records of this band's music are known to exist. The majority of these recordings were made for the Zonophone Company, but a few appeared on Gramophone Concert, Monarch, His Master's Voice, and possibly other labels.

Felix King was a British pianist and conductor born on March 27th, 1912 in Brighton. He formed a band in 1932 to play at the Gargoyle Club in London and spent much of his time as a pianist in leading dance bands in London, writing music for films and playing in them. In 1947, Felix King, his piano and orchestra opened at the Nightingale Club in Berkeley Square featuring two pianos for which Felix King composed the signature tune "The Night and the Nightingale".
