Here are a couple of recordings by vocalist Jack Plant who made recordings with a number of 1930s British dance bands.  “Carol Porter” is but a pseudonym that was used for his recordings on the Eclipse label which was sold through the British branch of the F.W. Woolworth chain.
Foster Richardson was a Operatic, Radio and popular music vocalist, born in Nottingham, England, 1890. Member of Jack Payne's Band.

Lewis James, a vocalist who was a prolific recording artist on Victor, Columbia, Edison and other labels from 1917 through the 1930s.In addition to solo vocals, James also recorded as a member of the Shannon Four harmony vocal quartette which later changed its name to The Revelers.

Franklyn Baur (April 5, 1903 – February 24, 1950 was a popular tenor vocal recording artist. Baur made hundreds of recordings for about a dozen different recording companies, including the three major labels, Victor, Columbia and Brunswick. 
Baur"s first stage appearance was in the Ziegfeld Follies of 1927, in which he was a featured vocalist. The show starred Eddie Cantor.
Baur first recorded for Columbia in 1924, with many more Columbia recordings to follow, and for other labels, including Brunswick, Banner, Domino, Emerson, Gennett, Grey Gull, Puritan, Oriole, and Regal, often using pseudonyms.
